Last round of Worcester Winter League today.
Canal has fished hard again, last peg out the hat as always 148 on the turning bay, not fished the best on the last 2 matches and Steve Broom on the peg next to me expecting the worst, especially as he has a good fish on as I have barely finished feeding turn round to notice float has disappeared and into a good fish myself and continued on and off for the rest of the match for the win with 16lb 1oz nice.
2nd on the day was Steve Broome with 5lb 4oz,
3rd was Jimmy Collins with 3lb 1oz and
4th Chris Turner with 2lb 10oz good to to see you back on the Bank mate.
Section winners were Dave Ward 2lb 2oz 4drams,
Colin Jew 1lb 11oz 8drams,
Lee Davis 1lb 12oz 1 dram and
Andy Beasley 2lb 7oz 1 dram.
Second in their sections were Keith Hunt with 2lb 5oz 6drams, Nigel Field 1lb 8oz 5drams,
Colin Pettifer 1lb 11oz and
Alan Henson 2lb 1oz 4 drams.
Which leads us to the league positions overall after six matches, dropping your worst result.
In first place James Wilson, not even needing to fish the last match and still would have won the league with only 8 points well done mate.
2nd was Dave Ward with 12 points.
3rd with 14 points Alan Henson and myself tied with 15 points with 3 other anglers but winning on weight.
Thanks to all the anglers for your support and turning out every week in some challenging weather conditions hopefully see you on the spring league when the fish are feeling hungry.
Tight lines all, good luck in whatever matches your fishing see you when it's a bit warmer.
